Who are we? What business do we do?

We are a bakery established in 2018 at Kingsway Mall, Edmonton. As the name says, we bake! But do not consider us a normal bakery shop. We not only bake but also offer services that can make the cake as personalized as possible.

We guide baking enthusiasts as well as family members who want to bake cake for their loved ones. But wait a minute! I know what you are thinking—that a cakery this good, spreading calories for 6 years, is bound to be costly. This is where we make ourselves unique. We offer these services starting from $10 going up to the sky, catering to everyone’s needs and requirements.

Other than cakes, we also offer our own special bread with all natural ingredients! We also have seasonal pies, croissants, chocolat du pain, and special eatery items for kids. But hey, in the era of inclusiveness, we also bake for our vegan companions and furry friends.


How have we progressed since initially going online?

2020 was a challenging year because of the pandemic but it also opened doors to new partners expanding our local business. We were financially crunched due to less sales as we only operated offline. So we decided to start over by offering our services through websites using Instagram, Facebook Marketplace, WhatsApp, video calls, clubbed with home deliveries. We conquered social distancing with social media. Initially because of the pandemic we incurred loss but with the help of bank loans we developed our online customer base through digital marketing and word of mouth.

We started our online presence in 2020 using our Instagram and Facebook pages through which the customers could view our personalized cakes, cookies, and other desserts to give us an idea about what they want and for what occasion.

We don’t have a dedicated mobile app as of now, but we accept orders via the above-mentioned channels.


How have we benefited from e-business?

E-business really revolutionized our bakery, helped us adapt to changing times, and has expanded our reach. Through social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, we connected with more people and reached out to them for customers beyond the local community. Online ordering and delivery services further increased our customer base by making it convenient for people to place orders from any location. Digital communication platforms such as WhatsApp and video conferencing have facilitated the provision of individualized consultations, thereby guaranteeing that each cake is customized according to the distinct preferences of the customer. Social media has emerged as a medium for direct engagement with clients, enabling us to respond to inquiries, collect feedback, and foster robust relationships. The implementation of digital tools has optimized our operations, encompassing aspects from inventory oversight to order fulfillment. Targeted digital marketing allowed us to engage our desired audience in a more efficient manner, hence optimizing our marketing activities. Our digital footprint proved to be a critical support system throughout the pandemic, enabling us to continue our operations and generate income. The e-business practices have enabled us to become agile in adopting changed consumer behaviors and market dynamics, hence positioning ourselves for continued growth and success.

Our bakery's distinctive goods are now available to a wider audience at all times thanks to e-commerce, which has enabled it to reach far beyond the local foot traffic at Kingsway Mall. In order to increase convenience and boost sales, customers may conveniently browse and purchase customized cakes, vegan delicacies, pet-friendly options, and seasonal baked products from the comfort of their homes. Our bakery gains more awareness by utilizing internet platforms, which helps us draw in niche markets and cultivate client loyalty through customized marketing based on consumer purchasing patterns. In addition to increasing sales, this digital presence lessens the need for in-store operations, which increases the company's flexibility and efficiency.
